A Novel Efficient Borehole Cleaning Model for Optimizing Drilling Performance in Real Time

The drilling industry has evolved significantly over the years, with new technologies making process more efficient and effective. One of most crucial issues is borehole cleaning, which entails removing drill cuttings keeping clean. Inadequate cleaning can lead to problems such as stuck pipes, poor cementing, formation damage. Real-time evaluation seen significant improvements, allowing engineers monitor make adjustments accordingly. This paper introduces a novel real-time performance model based on transport index (TIm). TIm offers indication efficiency. was field-tested validated for three wells, demonstrating its ability determine efficiency in typical operations. Using Well-A led 56% increase rate penetration (ROP) 44% reduction torque. Moreover, obtained through use played role improving preventing pipes incidents. also able identify during pipe issue, highlighting potential tool optimizing performance.
